Kohinoor Akhter Shuchanda was born on September 19, 1947, in Jessore, Khulna, Bangladesh. Her father, ASM Nizamuddin Ayub, and mother Begum Jahan Ara raised her in a culturally rich and educated family.
She completed her HSC from Dhaka City College. Later, she enrolled at Barishal Government Women’s College for higher education.
